The Systemwide Campus Inventory and Campus Action Items Highlights , available on the CSU’s Black Student Success website, includes a listing of awarded projects to be implemented by May 2025.
All too often, instead of taking proactive internal approaches to prevention, schools often spring to action reactively in the face of high-profile TitleIX investigations, or legal threats. Our research suggests that few campuses have adopted proactive or comprehensive approaches that move the bar on this important issue.
Robinson has led several initiatives focused on student recruitment and success, such as a college preparation program for underrepresented student groups, restructuring the Division of StudentAffairs and a $10 million scholarship for first-generation and low-income students.

Taylor is currently vice president of studentaffairs at Central State University, the only public historically Black college or university in Ohio. He and his team will be responsible for managing TitleIX compliance and sexual misconduct prevention and all nondiscrimination and equity work.

Staff are overwhelmingly left-leaning, often organized in unions that are overt allies of the Democratic Party, and pursue TitleIX and DEI initiatives strongly favored by Democrats and vehemently opposed by Republicans. That effort will almost certainly evolve over time, but the basic elements are clear.
