Well, readers, I just found a spot at the Library and have settled in for a long night. lots and LOTS of packing) As I’m sitting here studying, I’m thinking about one thing: next semester when I studyabroad in Ireland I won’t see some of the people on Hope’s campus ever again.
Around noon, some friends and I went down to the Chester Beatty Library behind Dublin Castle to hear traditional Irish storytelling. It was so educational and we got to explore the library afterward. It was for families, so there were a lot of little kids there, but also a lot of older people.
On campus, there are several places to study in peace and quiet, with the Van Wylen Library being my personal favorite, as well as collaborative areas for working in groups. Both intellectually and psychologically, I get the impression that I am making significant progress here.
