Student-Led, Individually-Created Courses (SLICCs): Learning and teaching beyond disciplinary silos

At this early stage, the student receives feedback from their SLICC staff tutor, who offers them guidance on how they may gain greater insight during the learning experience and maximise the available opportunities. It’s a mixed picture… Recently, a 4th year student in a very practical subject told me he had never had any hands-on experience in his degree. Moreover, in exam periods students are not necessarily thinking about employable attributes. about 74% of students start working after their first degree. I doubt it.
