The growth of online education has greatly accelerated. Technology continues to make its mark on college campuses across the nation. Unfortunately, this mentality extends into the legislature and funding sources, frequently resulting in cuts to RSIs that hurt the institution and its surrounding communities. RSIs are different. That’s how it came to this work. We need to make sense of rural-serving institutions.
The question is: how do you determine whether an article is available Open Access (and not visible because of Library subscription) and, if it is published under a Creative Commons licence, how it can be (re-) used?! While such a licence is incredibly helpful, it has its limits.
