We invite all EUSA (programme) reps, as well as the committee members of the School societies, Peer Support, and the student ambassadors. This is followed by reports from the EUSA and programme reps, the Societies and Peer Support and the Student ambassadors, and any further agenda items.
Each year, we have several categories celebrating these staff – from supervisors and cohort leads to the many professionalservices staff who keep things ticking along smoothly. Claire has had a massive impact on her students, from celebrating their achievements to lifting them up when they were going through rough academic patches.
Edinburgh University Students’ Association was the first in the UK to offer student-led Teaching Awards, and our Awards are now in their 13th year. Staff play a pivotal role in the student experience at The University of Edinburgh, from Lecturers and Tutors to Supervisors, Personal Tutors and ProfessionalServices staff.
This platform gave a very practical way to communicate regularly and with shared purpose, potentially breaking down perceived barriers between staff and students. For students, they have personal and professional development opportunities to enhance their CVs, beyond the society involvement alone.
Such capabilities include both general and subject-specific experience in data and project management, communication, team facilitation, and event coordination, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, guiding conversations and speaking publicly, supporting or delivering professionalservices, and building digital resources.
