Coming in as a new student, I felt as if I were trick-or-treating on Halloween, yet there were only treats and no tricks! The College currently has over 70 student organizations.

Students can interview their community experts, shadow them, have the expert teach them a skill, or work with them on a concept in-person or virtually.

A facet of Student Life is the Student Activities Committee, also referred to as SAC. SAC puts on an event almost every week or weekend, and of high quality. My favorites have been the various smaller events put on during the week – such as CoffeeHouse or Food Trucks in the Pine Grove. Dance Marathon.

My students choose one invasive species in the community to focus on. They might look at policies, removal events, education programs, and more. I have my students act on a variety of solutions including reusing, educating, and rebuilding. Students share their exhibits at a community exhibition event. They choose.
