Alabama A&M University's Marching Maroon and White marching band will lead the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year. They will be the first HBCU marching band to kick off the event. The state budget spending cap is expected to slam down on Connecticut’s public colleges and universities next year, reducing course offerings and teaching posts while triggering further tuition and fees hikes.
