The newspaper’s investigation found at least nine websites seemingly representing institutions that have been shuttered for years. Many of the sites required an application fee, as well as credit card and driver’s license information.

Dr. Larry Robinson President Dr. Larry Robinson announced the decision at an emergency meeting Thursday of FAMU’s fundraising foundation. Board members expressed grave reservations about the donation, which drew national attention as one of the largest ever for one of the country’s historically Black colleges and universities.
