We identified space in the year 1 curriculum that would allow for a formal teaching and learning opportunity on physical activity for health. We were keen to develop a flipped classroom approach , and the students were enthusiastic about this when we discussed it with them at the initial team meeting.

In addition to this, they are encouraged to attend a series of workshops that aim to develop their research skills, and to provide them with opportunities to develop communities of practice with students who are researching similar topics. I now believe in my organisational skills and that I can be pro-active in gaining funding.
