It was early in 2017 when our Student Life department received the approval we had been waiting for – we were embarking on a journey to make the University of Guelph-Humber a CliftonStrengths campus and I was tasked with leading the project. As well as sending students out into schools as language ambassadors, it is also important to invite school classes into the university so that pupils can gain some first-hand experience of student life on campus. One event we regularly run in October and November is our “speed-date a language student” project.
