The warmth of your friends being around you, having coffee, and study sessions in cozy spots like CampusMinistries will help you deal with winter. My favorite spot, with just the right amount of noise, is CampusMinistries. CampusMinistries is my go-to for studying math and reading books.
Besides those, campusministries will hold other events from time to time, so keep an eye out. Other Activities If you’re looking for something to do, there are always events happening on campus. Hope has many great ways to get involved on campus, whether it’s through a club, campusministries, or other events.
There are so many opportunities for students to worship on campus! Each dorm puts on a worship program open to all students, and each floor has a program just for its residents. Outside the dorms, our campusministry team works really hard to make worship available.
During the 2023-2024 school year, students felt each worship was the same program, leaving them uninvolved with fewer attending throughout the week. Jacob Duran has been involved with dorm worship since his freshman year. Now, as a sophomore, he is the Director of Combined Dorm Worship and Spiritual Residence Assistant for Newton Hall.

7:00 PM-10:00 PM After coming back to campus and eating dinner, I headed to CampusMinistries– one of my favorite places to get work done. and got a donut to share, then headed back to CampusMinistries. This has become a staple every week and I’ve really enjoyed engaging with Holland in a new way.

Advice for Those Considering Working on Campus: If you’re considering a campus job, I would recommend going to Handshake (a career website for Hope students) and seeing what options are available. The diversity of jobs offered at Hope is super cool to see!

Connect Ministries is one of PUC’s worship outreach ministries. Ran by the enrollment and marketing department, Lewis Govea is in charge of Connect Ministries- and has been involved since 2017, serving at different academies, camp meetings around California, and reaching out to churches to worship with.
Professors and many students likewise share the same faith background, and the support from my professors is unmatched. Hope’s campusministries played the largest part in my faith journey. When I walk throughout campus, attend classes, hang out with my friends, and attend Hope events, I can feel Jesus shining through.
