This semester, one of my best friends, Caitlin, is studyingabroad in Australia. Today, I want to take a page from my and Caitlin’s book to share with you a “day haul” of a typical Monday in my life at Hope. Then, I climb into bed and read a book until I fall asleep! Wrapping it Up!
I love this book so much that it doesn’t even feel like homework. After reading three chapters, I worked on my homework for the class, answering questions about the book and reflecting on how the themes connect to my own life. By 4:30 p.m., I got back to reading Born a Crime by Trevor Noah for my First-Year Seminar class.
I also nurtured a love for history, often reading books about how different countries evolved and how humanity has developed over time. We shared our home with my sisters, my grandparents from both sides and my uncles and aunties. It was a lively environment, and I grew up loving kids, surrounded by their energy and joy. Moving to the U.S.
So it absolutely is a team effort of not only the career and professional development teams, but our faculty, staff, colleagues, and other departments on campus to whom students ask career questions. It could be that you were engaging in intercultural communication while studyingabroad. It could be from an internship.
