Student fundraiser project opportunities! Spring is a great time of year to fundraise because we're in the final stretch of the school year. And what better way to do all of that than with student-led fundraiser projects? As an experiential educator, I love to have my students host and run their own community fundraisers.
A student of mine approached me after the activity expressing her interest in the topic. Insisting that every student use specific books, or even the same expert as everyone else in the class narrows their reach. What is Self-Directed Learning?
Share Your Life: Many of my students' projects have launched because of a story of mine or a project that I myself had going on at home. Magazines: I keep a stack of magazines and a shelf full of books in my room at all times. My PBL students learned about the issue and decided to organize a fundraiser to raise money for refugee aid.
