This moment inspired Joshua Jackson and Dayshawn Louden, then student leaders at Compton College, to begin campaigning and advocating for studenthousing and increased basic needs on campus. I said, well be the first ones to build housing, and sometimes you have to dream. Compton is the model for that.
The Division of Student Affairs received some questions this spring centered around changes to returning studenthousing application process for 2024-25, general availability of on-campus housing for students, health and safety in the residence halls, and navigating the local off-campus housing market.
