The class entering college in 2027 was in sixth grade in Fall 2021 and has since failed to make up any of the ground they lost. While most of the commentary on the NAEP scores has been rightly focused on what needs to be done to help K-12 students catch up, my attention has been on what happens when these students reach college age.
