According to the Pew Research Center, gun deaths among U.S. children rose 50% between 2019 and 2021. Black Americans, in particular, are disproportionately impacted by gun violence, according to Everytown Research and Policy. Firearms are the leading cause of death for children, killing about 4,357 children ages 1-19 in 2020.

CCS and Wright Museum Partner for d.Tree Studio Exhibition

In 2019, the Wright Museum made a commitment to become a Zero Waste Institution. This partnership began in 2018 when The Wright Museum noticed dying Zelkova trees on their Midtown campus. With this observation, and as part of its mission to be a zero-waste institution, the museum decided to form a collaboration with its neighbors at CCS.
