Positions such as data scientists, medical and health service managers, physician assistants, and epidemiologists highlight the immense potential need for students entering these fields. Requiring tutor hours where appropriate fosters consistent engagement with support systems, improving retention and academic performance.
I came into this programme as a mentor, along with Julie Dickson from the R(D)SVS, when the first cohort of UCVME students were nearing completion of their degrees (and their UCVME certificates) and were writing their AFHEA submissions. I am consistently inspired by what happens when we allow our students to take the reins in teaching.
It began as a pilot program in 2015 and started in earnest in 2018 with 25 students after receiving a $1.68 Over the past five years, EPW has served 909 students, 68% of whom are Latino. The mission of the Grad Equity Fellowship Program is to provide to students an opportunity to explore the possibility of going on to a Ph.D.

Although the list cited above is not exhaustive, my point is that multimodal approaches have shown to enhance the quality and quantity of feedback practices making them more relevant and detailed (Deeley, 2018).
