Six years ago, the university transitioned from a quarter to a semester system, significantly streamlining the path to degree completion. Since 2018, the graduation rate for Latine/x students has increased from 24% to 34%. CSUSM’s inclusive hiring practices have increased Latino representation among faculty, administrators and staff.
While there are many undergraduates and graduate students aiming for careers in banking or finance, there are also entrepreneurs, innovators, people interested in hospital administration, and others seeking positions at nonprofit organizations. At the graduate level there are eight graduate degree programs and 10 stand-alone certificates.
