Student nurses have the potential to offer solutions to the crisis in recruitment through the co-creation of the nursing curriculum. The Case Studies in Sustainable Development course in the School of Geosciences already included students doing project work in groups, but the students just researched a self-chosen case study of sustainability in the usual academic manner; they were not directed towards any practical outcome.
It was originally developed for undergraduate students following courses on the history of science and medicine to connect their learning to the city in which they study. History is literally on the streets here in Edinburgh, and so we are taking the classroom into the city through the app.
