Report: Graduate Enrollment is on the Decline

Overall first-time graduate enrollment fell almost 5% from Fall 2021 to Fall 2022, along with decreases in first-time enrollment among underrepresented minorities (URM), according to a new report from the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS). Though the number of graduate school applications increased by 3.9%.

Virginia Tech’s CEED Program Builds Pipelines to Engineering

Taylor Cupp When Watford began CEED, the graduation rate for Black engineering students was around 25%. The four-year graduation rate for students who entered in 2012 was 52.8%. To address that, there are now approximately 40 graduate ambassadors who will speak to student groups about their journeys. That rose to 61.2%
