As of fall 2023, 69% of the student population at CSUSB identified as Hispanic or Latino. In addition to support services that include financial aid and academicadvising, an example of supporting Latinx student success is the CSUSB Impact Internship, developed by the university’s Undocumented Student Success Center.
The last two years, ASU has seen the highest retention rates of all students, but particularly Latino students. The university restructured to a centralized academicadvising model for the first two years of college, ensuring that advising is consistent across all majors, particularly for the most vulnerable populations.
