” Sutton has worked with Lau since 2005 and started working more closely with her in 2010, when Lau was dean of academic services and Sutton was chair of fine and applied arts. He applied for the president’s job in 2005 but was turned down because board members believed he lacked sufficient senior leadership experience.

About Our Podcast Guest Amy Privette Perko has led the Knight Commission since 2005, serving as executive director until October 2016, when she was named chief executive officer. She was honored as an ACC Legend in 2005. During Perko’s tenure, the NCAA has adopted a number of the Knight Commission recommendations.
